Overflowing blessings
Overflowing Blessings is an interactive experience designed to transform your family, community or corporate event into a transformational celebration that makes gratitude a practice to live by – and an art form to remember!
Inviting you and your community to engage and ‘pour’ your gratitude over the sculpture creating a visual celebration of our overflowing blessings.
The concept of Overflowing Blessings is central to Judaism, not just as a concept but as a ritual practice. כוסי רויה - My cup overflows (Psalms:23:5) Every time a kiddush cup is filled for Shabbat, Holidays or life cycle events the cup is filled to the top with wine then overflowed, visualizing our overflowing blessings.
Overflowing Blessings Sculpture takes this concept of visualizing our blessings to a grand scale. Designed in collaboration with @DanGabber for you to celebrate your individual and collective gratitude in the form of a larger than life kiddush cup sculpture.
“Overflowing Blessings” begins as an elaborate blank canvas. The cup of blessings and its multi-tiered circular pedestal is painted white waiting for you to engage. The beauty of this project occurs when you and your community engage with the work transforming the white cup to color.
Selecting from a choice of ten colors, each participant chooses a cup of paint. Stepping up to the sculpture each participant begins a sentence with the words “I am grateful for…” completing the sentence while pouring their cup of paint over the top of the sculpture. As each participant shares their gratitude and pours their paint over the sculpture, the colors flow over the top of the cup and down the sides of the pedestal.
The critical mass of colors flowing over the sculpture creates a visual celebration of our collective gratitude.
Overflowing Blessings sculpture is available in quite a number of sizes designed to be as versatile as possible to fill almost all your overflowing needs.
Beginning at 18in, 2ft, 3ft, 4ft, 6ft and the full transcendent 8ft version.
